Atlantic Emergency Associates is a private democratic group that staffs the three emergency departments of Atlanticare Regional Medical Center. This affords the providers the opportunity to work in three different environments, an urban emergency department, a suburban department, and a rural free standing emergency department.

Atlantic City Campus

Atlanticare Regional Medical Center City Campus. Located in downtown Atlantic City, New Jersey, this emergency department offers a truly unique experience of working in an urban city setting that also services the casino tourism and a summer beach destination.

The Atlantic City Campus emergency department sees around 69,000 patients each year with 263 inpatient beds with an ICU, neuro ICU and trauma/surgical ICU. The Atlantic City Campus has about 12,000 admission a year for an 18% admission rate. There is 72 hours of provider coverage at the Atlantic City Campus, with 50 hours covered by physician and 22 hours by nonphysical practitioners. There is typically double coverage of physician hours, The emergency department has access to 24/7 lab, and radiology which includes MRI. It is a level II trauma center and there is a a dedicated trauma team and anesthesia in house 24/7. The city campus is a comprehensive stroke center and maintains excellent door to needle and door to perfusion times. There is a psychiatric intervention program that screens patients with psychiatric crisis. The Atlantic City Campus has an inpatient pediatrics unit, and the pediatric hospitalist are available to assist the emergency department in any pediatric patient. As of 2021 the emergency department host a bridge clinic for implementing treatment for those with substance use disorder prior to handing the patient off to a long-term treatment program.

Mainland Campus

The Mainland emergency, located in Galloway, New Jersey, offers the provider a suburban community feel with nearby nursing homes that serve the area. The emergency department sees around 60,000 patients each year with 323 beds with an ICU and cardiac ICU. The Mainland campus has about 14,500 admission a year for a 24% admission rate.There is 77 hours of coverage at the Mainland Campus, with 37 physician hours and 40 nonphysical practitioners, Physicians will work closely with nonphysical practitioners during peak times to help facilitate the flow of the department, Mainland Campus is a regional chest pain center with strong door to perfusion times and overall MI outcomes. Mainland is a primary stroke center. There is a labor and deliver unit and NICU at the Mainland Campus along with an inpatient psychiatric unit on the campus.

Hammonton Campus

The Hammonton emergency department is a truly unique experience in Hammonton New Jersey. This free-standing emergency department serves a local community which is home to blueberry farms and cranberry bogs. In addition to serving the local community, the emergency department also sees migrant farm workers during peak cultivating seasons, While the emergency department is free standing it sees around 14,000 visits a year and around 1,100 admissions or 8% admission rate, who are transferred to the other two Atlanticare Campuses. There is 24 hours of physician coverage at this site. The emergency department has access to point of care lab testing sufficient for emergency department complaints and also 24/7 X-ray and CT scan. Ultrasound is available during the daytime hours.
